Ride safe

Motomap is a motorcycle map for people who want more than just getting from A to B. It helps riders find great roads, beautiful places and real riding experiences.

Why Motomap?

My name is Mathias and I am a fair-weather rider. I enjoy setting off without a strict plan, exploring new roads and taking spontaneous turns when a road looks interesting.

Unfortunately, every rider knows the risk: a road looks promising from a distance, but a few minutes later you find yourself on poor pavement, in roadworks, on boring transit roads or somewhere that simply isn't enjoyable for motorcycling.

The idea behind Motomap is simple: the knowledge of many riders should become visible on a map. Which roads are worth riding? Which spots should you visit? Where can riders meet? Which routes are enjoyable? What weather can you expect on the way? And which roads are better avoided?

Motomap is still growing, but now is exactly the right time to get involved. Every spot, rating, shared tour and photo makes the map more useful.

Most importantly: Motomap is free to use. If you would like to support the project voluntarily, you can find more information on the Support page.

Motorcycle map

On the map you will find spots, events, tours and rated road sections. Over time this creates a map that not only shows places but also collects rider knowledge.

Rate roads

Rate road sections from 1 to 5. Great roads become more visible, while poor or boring sections can be avoided more easily.

Add spots

Share viewpoints, photo spots, meeting points, workshops, gas stations, cafés, restaurants or accommodations that are interesting for motorcyclists.

Plan routes and tours

Plan a route to a spot or event, or discover saved tours. Tours can serve as inspiration or as the basis for a future ride.

Export GPX and KML

Planned routes can be downloaded as GPX or KML files and used in navigation devices, apps or planning tools.

Rides and events

Create rides, plan meeting points or promote motorcycle events. For rides, the ride weather planner can take the planned start time and breaks into account.

Weather and weather planner

Motomap provides weather information for relevant locations and routes. For tours, you can choose a start date and time and view temperature, rain probability, rainfall and wind conditions along the route.

Upload photos

You can upload photos for spots, tours, rides and events. Your own photos remain visible to you while awaiting approval and can be edited or deleted.

Community

Create your profile, find other riders and make new connections. Friendships, messages and notifications help you stay connected with the community.

Motomap is powered by rider knowledge

If you know a great road, a good meeting point or a poor section: add it. That is exactly what creates the value of Motomap.

How you can help

1. Add a spot

A great viewpoint, a meeting point, a café or a helpful workshop: anything useful for riders helps.

2. Rate a road

Make great roads visible and mark poor sections. Short, honest and from a rider's perspective.

3. Share a tour

If you know a great ride, save it as a tour. Others can view it, follow it or use it as inspiration.

4. Contribute photos and feedback

Photos help others evaluate a place or route. And if something doesn't work or is unclear, your feedback is especially valuable.

Free to use, optional to support

If you like the project and want to help, you can support it voluntarily. This is not required, but simply a way to help cover server costs and further development.

Ready for the next ride?

Take a look around, plan a route or help with a small contribution. Every rating, every spot, every tour and every photo makes Motomap a little more useful.
